Baby, It's HOT Outside!

Baby, it’s HOT outside! While summer is in full swing, you keep showing up with heart,

humor, and resilience. At the Heart of Home Visiting, we are seeking out the AC,

lingering in the shade, and dreaming of cooler mountain air. Wherever you are finding

relief, we hope you’re also finding moments of joy, rest, and play. You deserve them.

Summer brings its own magic: sprinklers, popsicles, road trips, long evenings, and kids

who seem to grow an inch every time you blink. It also brings real challenges. Less

structure, disrupted routines, and lots of togetherness can stretch families thin. When

you’re supporting caregivers during these months, naming those stressors out loud can

be grounding. Sometimes simply hearing “This is a tough season, and you’re doing your

best” is enough to help a parent exhale.

Your flexibility, creativity, and steady presence matter. Maybe that means meeting

families at a park instead of indoors, adjusting expectations when naps are off schedule,

or helping caregivers brainstorm simple ways to keep kids engaged without adding

pressure. These small shifts can make a big difference.

Most importantly, remember that your relationship with families is the anchor. Your

encouragement helps them see their strengths, even on sticky, sunburned, overtired

days. Thank you for showing up with compassion, curiosity, and a willingness to adapt.

You help families feel capable and connected, no matter how hot it gets.
